Sonya K. Koperski

Ms. Koperski joined the firm in May 2004 and became a Junior Partner in January 2009. Ms. Koperski graduated Cum Laude in December 1997 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She received her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Agri-Business, with distinction from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in May 2003. Her law practice includes insurance defense, business litigation, water law, workers' compensation and general trial practice.

Ms. Koperski is admitted to practice in Nebraska and U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska. Ms. Koperski is a member of several professional organizations including the Hall County Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Nebraska Defense Counsel Association, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys and Defense Research Institute.

Ms. Koperski's current community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the Central Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross and Hall County Leadership Unlimited, Inc. In addition, Ms. Koperski is a member of the Grand Island Young Professionals, the past Board Chair for the Central Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross, a graduate of Hall County Leadership Tomorrow – Class 22, past judge for the Region 5 Nebraska High School Mock Trial Project and was selected for the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce inaugural "Top 35 Under 35" group of professionals.
