Tanya J. Hansen

Tanya Hansen is a member of the litigation practice of the Leininger Smith Law Firm.   Ms. Hansen originally joined the firm in 2006.  Ms. Hansen became a junior partner in 2011. 

Ms. Hansen was the Grand Island Young Professionals’ Outstanding Young Professional of 2007.  She was the 2009 recipient of the Grand Island YWCA’s Young Woman of Achievement.  In 2010, she was appointed by Governor Dave Heineman to the ServeNebraska Commission.  She currently sits on the United Way Board, is a trustee for the Saint Francis Hospital Foundation, and is on the executive committee for Connecting Young Nebraskans.  In the past, she had been involved with the Association for Child Abuse Prevention, Grand Island YWCA, and the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce. 

Ms. Hansen has appeared before the Iowa Court of Appeals in Kiray v. Hy-Vee, 716 N.W.2d 193 (2006) (on brief only).  She has appeared before the Nebraska Court of Appeals in Great West Cas. Co. v. Michigan Millers Mut. Ins. Co., 2010 WL 3959064, (2010), Stobbe v. Cortinas, 2009 WL 1706808 (2009) and Hongsermeier v. Devall, 744 N.W.2d 481 (2008).  She also appeared before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in Shuck v. CNH America, LLC, 498 F3d 868, (2007).
